Isak, Aron

(1730-1816)
   Founder of the Swedish Jewish community. Born in Germany, he was a peddler but taught himself seal-engraving. He went to Sweden, and brought his brother and partner to Stockholm there. Later other Jews began to settle in Sweden, and he served as head of the Jewish community.
